Moses in the basket

Some of you probably have heard the story of Moses. Some say he is a imaginary person, others say that he is real. I believe that he was a prophet of God.

After Joseph had died a new king came to rule Egypt. Also the new Pharaoh ( That is the name of the kings of Egypt ) did not knew Joseph, and was very mean. He soon realized that the Israelites were growing rapidly in number, and soon they would be able to take the kingdom. So he got really nasty, and ordered that every Hebrew baby be thrown into the river. Many babies lost their lives for the next long while. But there was one little boy that was not throne into the river, Moses. He had one brother and one sister. His poor mother tried to hide him, but that didn't last for long, and soon his parents could do nothing. So they put him in a basket, covered the holes, and set him in a river. He floated down stream a little ways, with his sister watching him. Soon the Pharaoh's daughter spotted him and sent someone to grab him. She saw Moses and fell in love with him. Then she realized that she had no way to feed the baby. That is when his sister came out of here hiding place, and told the Pharaoh's daughter that she knew a Hebrew nurse to feed Moses. So the Pharaoh's daughter gave Moses' mother, ( Who Moses' sister said was the nurse ) and Pharaoh's daughter paid here to feed little Moses. So in the end, his parents got to keep their son... for a temporary period.

That is not the end of Moses story, but I'm going to stop there. God stopped the death of a baby, and not for Moses sake, but for God's glory. We don't do things for our self, we do it for God. That is my conclusion for now. Thank you for reading. God bless!

Veteran's day Part 2

In WWII, there was a battle called The Battle of Iwo Jima. Many men were killed in that long month of battle. The island was occupied by the Japanese. They had dug many miles underground before the war to transport supplies to the island safely. America had the upper hand and were able to start bombing the mainland, but there was one more island that could alert the mainland before the Americans got there. Iwo Jima.

As American Marines crawled onto the island the Japanese loaded, then they absolutely unloaded and slaughtered thousands of men. After about one month of horrible fighting, the Americans had won the battle, and on Mount Suribachi the American solders planted the American flag. Thousands of men lost their lives in The Battle of Iwo Jima, so that we could be free. We should be very grateful, and I know I am very grateful. Veteran's day is the day to salute those men and respect them.

"He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. Blessed be The Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle."    Psalm 18:34 and 144:1

Thank you all Veteran's for offering and losing your lives, so that I could be free. God bless America. Thank you for reading.

Veteran's Day Part 1

Today is Veteran's Day. A day to remember the men and woman who have fought for our freedom. All of our armed forces; the Navy, Air force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard and many others. Today is the day to salute those men and woman who fought in The Revolutionary war, The Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Desert storm and Vietnam as well the soldiers who have served during times of peace. Today is the Day to remember and salute our friends and relatives who have died and others who have survived to tell their story. I was blessed to go with my Great Aunt to hear Veteran Wilbur Richardson's story about his experience as a Bomber in WWII.

Both my great uncle and my grandpa served in Vietnam, and I'm blessed that they are still alive today. My great uncle was a Marine, and my grandpa was in the Air Force. My dad also served in the Army. This is a picture of my grandpa when he served in the military. I salute them and all veterans with great respect. They fought for all of our freedoms that we have today. I salute them for service and dedication to serve and protect the United States of America.  May God continue to Bless America.

Thank you all Veterans for serving in times of peace as well as times of war to keep us free.

Stay tuned for Veterans day part 2.
Thank you for reading. God bless.

October 31, Reformation day

October 31,  1517

Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the University's chapel door. These theses were an awareness to the catholic church, telling them that their teachings were false. The pope and emperor were wrought with anger. As a result they called him to trial. The pope gave Martin Luther two choices, one: recant and live. Choice two: do not recant and be banished from the church and be burned at the stake. Then he said " I can not and will not recant, for to go against conscience is nether good nor safe, here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God."

He would have been killed if it wasn't for the prince of Saxony who staged a fake abduction. Luther went in to hiding and while he was in hiding translated the Bible into German. Then when he returned he organized the protestant church of Germany. Without a doubt, Martin Luther was an amazing reformer. Thank you for reading.

Samson

Samson had amazing strength, he had amazing strength, not because he was a Nazarite or because God gave him strength but because of both. I'm not writing because of his amazing strength, but because of what he did.

The Philistines hated Israel and wanted to take it. Samson was one of Israel's strongest men, and the Philistines wanted to kill him. So they paid Delilah ( Samson's wife ) to find his weakness. So she tempted him. He then ends up telling her his weakness.

That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, there hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strenth will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man. Judges 16:17.

So she laid him upon her lap and cut his hair, while he was sleeping. Then she tied ropes around him and said " The Philistines be upon thee." He then woke up and could not break the ropes. Then she handed him over to the Philistines. They set him between two pillers and then rejoiced.

And Samson called called unto the Lord and said" O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistiens for my two eyes. Judges 16:28.

Then Samson with all his might, pulled down the pillers. Then the roof came down on Samson and all the Philistines that were gathered there. Those that were slain there were more than he had killed in his life time!

Samson was a great hero, at least in my mind. Read Judges 13-16 to read the whole life of Samson. Thank you for reading. God bless!

David and Goliath

The story of David and Goliath is an amazing story. A young shepherd boy named David ( who would soon be king of Israel ) fought a 117 in. human!! 1 Samuel 17:36 Thy servant slew the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he he hath defied the armies of the living God. David had more faith, trust and belief than eny other Israelite in that army, and because he had those 3 things, he was able to beat Goliath. God delivered Goliath into the hands of David. Did you know?: that king Saul tried to put his royal armer on David, and he refused!! Instead he went down to a river and picked up 5 smooth stones, and made a sling, and he beat Goliath with one shot and God! Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and shield. Read 1 Samuel 17 to read about David and Goliath. Thank you for reading.
