Passion Week 2 of 2 - Resurrection Sunday

I am very sorry for my delay. I was celebrating the Resurrection of Christ and Forgot.

This is the ending to Friday's story. Jesus was beaten, and he suffered, and died for YOU and ME. You may think that he died and he was nailed on a cross, so what.... What if told you that after they took him down from the cross, that his arms were 9in. longer. This is the saddest and happiest story ever told. So today I'm going to talk about the happiest part....

After Jesus' death, the other prisoners that were on the crosses next to him were still alive, so the guards ripped the prisoner's legs of and they died from suffocation later that day. When they took Jesus down they wanted to make sure he was dead so, they stabbed him with a spear and immediately blood and water spilled out.

The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
John 19:34

There was a man that was a friend of Jesus named Joseph. He went to Pilot asking for Jesus' body. Pilot marvelled at Jesus' death. But he let Joseph have the body. He took Jesus' body to a grave and met Jesus' other friend Nicodemus there. Nicodemus had brought spices to wrap the body in. When they finished, they rolled a giant stone over the grave.

Jesus foretold that in 3 days he would rise again, so on the 2 day, the Chief Official went to Pilot asking him to put some guards in front of the tomb because the next day was the 3 day. Pilot agreed but, he did not want anything else to do with Jesus.

2 guards were positioned at the tomb that night. Early the next morning, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb. Before she got there the Rock was moved and light shown from inside the grave. The guards were so scared that they fell on their faces and became like dead men. Also when she got there, Jesus' body was gone.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
John 20:1-2

After that, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb again, but this time Jesus was there. He spoke with her and told her to go tell the disciples

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 20:19-23

Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.  So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”  Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:24-29

Jesus abode with them for 40 days more, and then while he was praying, he ascended into heaven and angels came down and said that Jesus will come down again the same way he went to be with the father....soon.

I know Jesus is my lord and savior, is he yours. He came and died and rose again to save us from our sins. Please pray, and ask him for forgiveness. Thank you for reading. God bless!

Passion week 1 of 2 - Good Friday

I know that most of you have herd the story of Jesus dying and rising again. This week is known as passion week. Today is known as Good Friday. Today is the day 2000 years ago that Jesus died to save us from our sins. This story starts when Jesus come into Jerusalem riding upon a colt.

 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey
Zechariah 9:9

The officials, Priests, and pharisees all hated Jesus. Even some of the townsfolk hated Jesus. By this time Judas was becoming greedy and selfish with money, and was tired of listening to Jesus. So he went to the officials and betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver

For I hear the slander of many;
Fear is on every side;
While they take counsel together against me,
They scheme to take away my life

Psalms 31:13

...So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
Zechariah 11:12

The betrayal was coming, but first, we can't forget about The Last Supper. The disciples knew something was wrong with Jesus, so they asked. He said that one of them betrayed him. everyone was shocked, and asked if it was them. Judas spoke up and asked if it was him. Jesus answered him saying " Thou hast said." Judas left the table and went to get the guards to kill Jesus. Jesus then told them that that night, they would all fall away. Everyone gasped. Peter refused and said," Never." Jesus answered him saying," Before the rooster crows, thou wilt deny me 3 times."

Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted,
Who ate my bread,
Has lifted up his heel against me.

Psalms 41:9

All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:6

Jesus went out to the Garden of Gethsemane and prayed. He asked some of his followers to watch with him, but they fell asleep within the first hour. He prayed for hours on end. He was so scared that he sweat blood.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Luke 22:44

The time of Jesus' betrayal had come. Judas walked over and kissed him. The guard went to tie up Jesus when out of nowhere Peter came with a sword and cut the guard's ear off. Jesus answered Peter saying," No Peter, those that live by the sword, shall die by the sword." He then healed the Guard's ear. they then took Jesus away. After that, Judas had realised what he had done.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

Isaiah 53:7

Jesus was taken before the officials. Peter followed. While Peter was looking in the window, someone asked if he was a follower of Jesus. Peter denied that he was. Inside the temple, Jesus was asked questions, but he did not answer them. Finally, Jesus said," Why do you ask me? If I have accusers, let them speak." During this time, Peter was asked the same question again, and again, he deny it. 2 accusers were found. They said that they herd Jesus say that he was able to destroy God's temple in 3 days without hands, and build another within 3 days without hands. The Chief official asked what he had to say for himself. Jesus was silent. So the Chief official spoke for him. " This man says that he can destroy the temple, and build another one, and how, not with years of labor, but within 3 days, and without human hands. How could he think about doing such tings of witchcraft without the help of his true master, The Devil! I command thee by the power of the Living God to tell us if you are the son of God!" Jesus answered saying," Thou hast said." Everyone Gasped. " And I tell you that in the days to come, I shall be sitting on the right hand of the throne of God, and ascending from the clouds. The Chief Official rent his shirt and told the guards to take him away.

A man ran out of the temple and said to some people," They've found him guilty, and are taking him to pilot asking for his death." Everyone cheered, except for Peter. He was asked the same question a 3 time and for the 3 time he denied it. Just then Jesus walked out of the temple and the rooster crowed. He had denied Jesus 3 times.

Jesus talked with pilot, and he was not found guilty. The officials were wrathful. Pilot agreed to let the people decided, but he would not be guilty of Jesus' death if it came to that. He brought Jesus and another prisoner named Barabbas to the balcony. Pilot said," It is our custom to release one prisoner before the Passover. Which  one should I release?" Every one yelled Barabbas! " Then what should I do with Jesus?" Everyone yelled Crucify him! Pilot then said," But I find no fault with this man, what has he done to deserve death?!" They said the same thing. Pilot washed his hands saying that he is innocent of Jesus' blood.

For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
They pierced my hands and my feet.

Psalms 22:16

Jesus then was taken to be whipped, and not just with a whip, but sharp pieces of glass at the end of the whip.

I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

Isaiah 50:6

They placed a crown of thorns upon his head and said,"Hail king of the Jews."

Judas walked into the temple. All the officials were there. Judas spoke crying," I have sinned, I have betrayed a innocent man!" The officials replied," What is that to us, that is your responsibility now." Judas through the 30 pieces of silver back to the officials and left.

Jesus walked through the crowd carrying his 300lb. cross. He saw people cheering, and he saw people crying. He carried His cross to The Skull ( The place that Jesus was crucified ). He then was nailed to the cross and they put a sign above him that said THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
Psalms 22:18

All those who see Me ridicule Me;
They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
“He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him;
Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”

Psalms 22:7-8

There were 2 other men on crosses next to Jesus. One said," your Jesus right." Jesus answered saying," Thou hast said." The man replied," If you are the son of God, save us and get us down from here." The other man said," Leave Jesus alone, He doesn't have to do what you say." Jesus then said," Today you shall be with me in paradise."

Later, Jesus said," I thirst ". They gave him vinegar to drink.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Matthew 27:45-54

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Jesus is the reason that we are able to go to heaven. If you do not yet know Christ, I encourage you to pray and to ask God for forgiveness. But for God to forgive you, you need to be truly sorry for your sins.

I will be posting more on Sunday on Resurrection Sunday. Thank you for reading. God Bless!

One Day Too Late

A couple of days ago I was listening to the radio and herd a song I hadn't herd in a long time....
The song was called One Day Too Late by Skillet. I encourage you to listen to the lyrics of the song, do not pay any attention to the way he sings it. The song is about starting over, and helping make the world a better place. To go teach the GOSPEL to the ones who are lost, and help stop the murdering of Christians. ( I'm not saying to go join the army, but to go and say things to help rise up over this cruelty ). Not sit back in the sidelines and watch everything happen in front of our eyes.

Look at what JESUS did. even though he was the son of GOD, he didn't  just sit back and watch everything happen, he went out and preached. Ever since he was 10, he taught everyone. But his life was short, he was about 33 when he died. He did not wast his days doing what ever he pleased, he did whatever he could to teach about GOD.

He is the reason that we have the New Testament.

Even if your still young, we should tell everyone of the good news, and we all need to be ready to say

                                                                  I BELIEVE IN GOD.

Your time is running out, your never going to get it back, so make the most of every moment.

 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Matthew ll:25-27

Don't spend your time alone, share it with everyone.

Thank you for reading. God bless.
